Not everyone can afford the full-octane DPC1, but we're still unwilling to sacrifice most of what makes our systems so powerful for the studio. Enter the DPC2.
We kept all of the same great expandability, but made a few component substitutions. We replaced the i9-9900k CPU with the i7-9700k. It will run faster than the stock advertised 3.6/4.9GHz speed, but we haven't established how much we can overclock it while still ensuring rock-solid stability yet. It will certainly be faster than 4.0GHz across all eight cores, though. We also scaled back on the default RAM and storage amounts (barely), video card, and power supply, but we didn't compromise the quality of the high-performance parts--just their capacity. Other companies would keep all of these details secret, but that's not what we are about. This is still a super fast, high-end system you'll want to make records on.
